Industries

Different industries.
Same broken loops.

Every market has its own jargon and its own KPI dashboard. After twelve years across fourteen sectors, the work itself has never been about the category, it has always been about where the team has stopped telling itself the truth. The industries below are the languages I've learned to ask that question in.

Automotive B2B SaaS Fintech Retail & FMCG Telecom Marketplaces Energy Healthcare Textile & Manufacturing Business Services eCommerce Mobility Media Industrial

Engagements span direct fractional roles, partnerships with agency partners, and confidential strategy contracts.

Identity

Why the name.

"Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better."

Samuel Beckett · Worstward Ho · 1983

The most misread quote in business writing. It's not a slogan for resilience, it's a working method for anyone whose job is iteration. Why I named the practice after it is a longer story.

★ The most relevant fractional hire

CMO + AI Officer.
One brain. One contract.

Marketing and AI adoption are no longer two separate workstreams. Holding both mandates with one person collapses the meeting load, removes the handoff drag, and keeps the tooling subordinate to the strategy where it belongs.

Visual Strategy

When the room
cannot agree,
build it instead.

LEGO® Serious Play® (LSP) is an internationally recognized facilitated meeting, communication, and problem-solving process. It's used with organizations, teams, and individuals to unlock their full potential.

I combine LSP with AI tools to create hybrid strategy sessions where physical building meets digital acceleration. It's the fastest way to get a boardroom full of egos to align on a single strategy.

Q01 What is a fractional CMO and how does it work?

A fractional CMO is an experienced marketing executive who joins your leadership team part-time, typically 1 to 3 days per week, instead of being hired as a full-time employee.

I take ownership of strategy, hiring, vendor management, and your marketing P&L for the duration of the engagement, usually 6-month minimum commitment. Many engagements run multi-year. You get senior-level judgement without the full-time salary, equity, or hiring delay.

Q02 How is this different from a marketing consultancy or agency?

A consultancy delivers a deck and exits. An agency executes campaigns but rarely owns the strategy. I do neither.

I become part of your team, I attend your standups, work inside Teams, Slack, or wherever your day-to-day communication happens, and carry direct accountability for the numbers. The relationship ends when you have an internal hire who can take over, not when a retainer expires.

Q03 What is a Fractional AI Officer and how is it different from a CMO?

A Fractional AI Officer is a standing seat at your leadership table for AI strategy and adoption, separate from marketing. The role provides continuous horizon-scanning, vendor and tooling diligence, internal AI policy authorship, and direct support on the implementation calls that actually matter.

Many clients hold both retainers in parallel: the CMO owns marketing outcomes, the AI Officer owns the company-wide AI adoption layer.

Q04 What industries do you work with?

Twelve years across automotive, B2B SaaS, fintech, retail and FMCG, telecom, marketplaces, energy, healthcare, eCommerce, mobility, media, and industrial B2B services.

I deliberately don't name specific clients, sectors are the right level of detail. If you'd like to talk about a specific engagement under NDA, that's available during the discovery call.

Q05 How long are your engagements?

The marketing audit is a fixed 2-to-3-week sprint. Fractional CMO retainers have a 6-month minimum commitment to allow at least one full quarterly cycle of testing and iteration. There is no upper limit, most retainers run multi-year and several have run beyond five years, because compounding strategic continuity is where the real returns are.

Workshops are scoped as half-day, full-day, or two-day intensives.

Q06 Where are you based and do you work remotely?

I'm based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and I work with teams across Europe and the United States. The majority of engagement work happens remotely; I travel in for kick-off, workshops, and quarterly reviews when the project budget supports it.

Q07 How do I get started?

Book a free 30-minute discovery call. If the fit is wrong I'll tell you in the first 15 minutes and recommend someone better. If it's right, I scope a marketing audit as the next step.

Most engagements begin within 2 to 4 weeks of the first call.
